Wig Care Instructions

Wig Care Instructions

Be gentle on your wigs (particularly loose hair wigs). They've been styled to last a long time but abuse of them can shortern their lifespan. Here's some tips to keeping them looking great!:

~NEVER NEVER WASH YOUR WIG. It will wash the style out of them. ~Store them on a wigstand.

~If they get smoky, mix 1 part alcohol (vodka is great) and 1 part water. Spray on your wig, then let it air dry.

~Avoid heat extremes. Wearing dreads while opening a hot oven = bad. Plastic melts. Don't leave them in your hot car. Just use common sense with this one :)

Treat your wigs well and they'll return your investment for a long long time.

Plastic/Foam Care Instructions

Thorn Hairpieces, Plastic Lacing and Foam Falls require even less maintenance than dreadlocks. Common sense is key.

~They will be bent out of shape when you receive them. To straighten them you can simply allow them to hang for 2-3 days where their own weight will straighten them, or you can hang them and apply gentle heat (blowdryer on low) which softens the plastic and allows it to straighten faster (within 6-15 minutes).

~Store them hanging. It'll help prevent damage and keep them from bending out of shape.

~If they're soiled, wipe them with a damp cloth. Avoid submerging tubes in water - they'll get into the tubes and you'll have to deal with things like mildew.

~Avoid heat extremes. Keep them out of your hot car.

~Be gentle on their mountings.

Plastic isn't biodegradable - if you treat your falls well they'll last for a very long time.
